The colored photographs of car form the basis for this work. However, through working and manipulating the surface, as i fold and mould the paper and cover parts of it in cement, the flat and light-weight photographic print is turned into a heavy and thick three-dimensional object. Blur consists of photographic paper that depicts cars. But part of the photographic print is covered with cement. By casting use of colour prints can be transferred directly onto the form of cement. Herewith the image and the cement material become one unity. Through this technique the photographs are literally set in stone, therewith giving the photographs volume and weight. 07/02/20 Sunyoung Park
